This Is Your Passover Moment - From Donkeys to Kingship
Encounter: Throne-Room Rulership and Writing Heaven's Decrees
During a heavenly encounter I had in February 2026, while the Lord was transitioning me into a new level of authority, He said something that marked me deeply: "Don't worry about the donkeys." The moment I heard it, I knew in my spirit that this was not just for me; it was a word for April, a word for a people being invited into a divine transition.
In that encounter, I was brought into the presence of the Lord, wearing a bridal gown more glorious than anything I had ever seen, its train covering nations. I bowed before Him, and then I was invited to sit with Him on His throne. This was not just intimacy; it was authority. I was handed decrees that had been established over my life and family, thick and resistant, yet when I looked at the King, He said, "You can do this," and strength filled my hands to tear them apart.
I was then given fresh pages to write Heaven's decrees, and as I wrote, I saw thrones on earth shaking, collapsing, and being destroyed. The Lord showed me territories where He was not enthroned, and He said, "Unless you sit with Me on My throne and rule from there with Me, you will not be able to take back these territories."
This is the revelation: we are not just being invited into intimacy, we are being invited into throne room realities—into ruling, into alignment, into authority with Him.
As the encounter ended, He said again, "Don't worry about the donkeys." I could not shake this word, and as I prayed, I began to see throughout Scripture that donkeys were used by God to carry people through seasons—carrying Abraham to sacrifice, kings into coronation, and others into breakthrough. They were useful, necessary, and purposeful, but never the destination.
"Throne-Room Transition Is Upon You"
And I heard the Lord say, "I use donkeys for a season and a reason. I used the donkeys to bring you here. Your assignment was never about the donkeys. Let go of the donkeys. Throne-room transition is upon you."
This became even clearer as we approached Passover—a time of transition, not destination. God brought His people out of Egypt, but Egypt had only served as a carrier, a season, not their destiny. Yet even after leaving, they longed to return, "If only... back in Egypt..." (Exodus 16:3). This is the tension of transition, the pull to go back to what once carried you.
This is a threshold moment—the edge between where you've been and where God is taking you. It may feel like loss, like something has ended, but in the Spirit, it is the beginning of divine appointment.
There comes a point when a season has ended so completely that even if you try to recover it, you will not find it, not because you failed but because God has moved you forward.
God Is Moving You Forward
The Lord led me to 1 Samuel 9, where Saul was sent to look for lost donkeys. He searched everywhere but could not find them.
Saul entered Zuph, a place of transition, and at a point that felt like the end, everything shifted. He was ready to go back, yet he had stepped into a threshold moment where a natural search became a divine appointment.
The donkeys were never the focus; they were the vehicle that brought him to the prophet, to the table, to honor, and ultimately to kingship. Before he understood it, he was positioned, and what looked like delay was divine alignment.
Then came the word, "Don't worry about those donkeys..." (1 Samuel 9:20 NLT), revealing that what Saul thought he needed was not what God was addressing. He was focused on what was lost, while God was revealing who he was becoming. Even the servant who helped him had to be sent ahead, just as Abraham said, "Stay here with the donkey" (Genesis 22:5)—because what has carried you cannot enter the place of encounter.
Then the oil was poured (1 Samuel 10:1), identity shifted, and kingship was revealed, followed by empowerment: "The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you... You will be changed into a different person" (1 Samuel 10:6 NLT).
This is not just a new season; it is a transformation into a new way of operating from Heaven's reality. Just as David left the sheep before his anointing (1 Samuel 16:11–13), there is always a leaving before a crowning. This is why the Lord is saying, "Don't worry about the donkeys." Do not go back, do not hold on, do not try to carry into this season what was only meant to carry you into it.
There is a shift—from deliverance into dominion, from process into authority, from movement into rulership, from donkeys into kingship. This is your Passover moment: not just to come out, but to come up, to sit with Him, to rule with Him, and to write what Heaven is saying. Leave what carried you, and step into what will crown you, because this is the hour where we are not just visiting the throne room, we are being established in it. Throne-room transition is upon you.
Word of the Lord for April: "I Am Releasing You Into Throne-Room Living"
The Lord says, "You are entering a threshold month—a very special time between where you've been and where I am taking you. This is a month of throne-room transition, where I am bringing an end to an assignment and releasing you into throne-room living.
"The donkeys that once helped you are now lost, and you will not find them. You have been given a new assignment, and it is not connected to the donkeys. Stop being distracted by looking for what I have removed. Do not worry about the donkeys; they have been found.
"The donkeys transitioned you into this new level of grace where you now stand. Enter into My presence and be ready to receive what your heart desires to hear. But remember, you are stepping into what no eye has seen nor ear has heard, what I have prepared for those whom I love.
"Like Saul, whom I transitioned from looking for donkeys to being placed at the head of the table, honoring him above all others and anointing him king, I will do this for you. Like David, whom I transitioned from looking after sheep, bringing him out of hiddenness, anointing him with My oil, and establishing him in authority, I will do this for you.
"You are passing over, and the Egyptians you see now, you will never see again. You are transitioning from 'Shaalim,' a place of loss, emptiness, and seeking, to 'Zuph,' a place of overflow. For I have already issued throne-room decrees concerning your assignment. This is a month where you will encounter Me as your El Roi. Not only will you recognize that I see you, but I will open your eyes so that you will see Me and see My work in your life. You will cry out and say, 'I have seen the Lord, and His banner over me is love!'
"I am removing the scales, and many things will begin to make sense. Your key is to let go of the donkeys. Do not worry about the donkeys; you are invited into My throne room.
"You are the focus of My attention; My eyes are on you. This is a season where I am shifting your attention from what was lost to what has been chosen for you, from what you were chasing to what I have already prepared. You came looking for answers in one area, but I have called you for something far greater.
"You thought this journey was about provision, but it is about position. You thought it was about recovering something, but it is about becoming someone. I have already handled what concerned you. Now step into what concerns Me. Receive what I have for you, for I am making a public announcement concerning you. Heaven is declaring, 'You are My beloved, with whom I am well pleased.'"
